Gunnar is a 2 year old male black lab. He loves to play with his human brothers, 9 & 12. He sleeps every night at the foot of the older sons bed. He is an awesome play mate to the families other dogs, two beagles. Gunnar has a calm, affectionate and loyal disposition. Swimming in the creek, hikes in the woods, neighborhood walks and yard play are all special treats to him. He kno ws many commands and enjoys spending quite time in his crate when we go to work. Gunnar weighs 96 pounds, tall and lean- so handsome! One morning, Gunnar was sleeping and was startled awake by his mom. It scared him so much, he bit her hand. It did break the skin. Extended family members are now concerned that Gunnar is not safe around the boys. We feel differently. However, it is not what we think... and the extended family members are causing problems and have threatened the family if the dog doesn't go. We have no doubt that Gunner can find his forever family where he can live out his days playing fetch and lounging on the rug.
