•Lebanon, PA• Hello world, my name is Ollie. I loved my family with all my heart, but my Mom and Dad got a divorce and neither one of them could take me with them. They brought me to the rescue and left me there. I tried to run after my Dad‘s car as he was leaving, and then I sat in front of the rescue’s door and cried for a long time waiting for him to come back for me. He never came back. The rescue had a nice family take me into their house as their foster dog. I had a really hard time the first week with them. I ran back-and-forth from the windows to the doors looking for my Mom and Dad, sniffing the air and crying for them whenever I was outside. My heart was broken. I love my foster Mom and Dad now and I’m so afraid every time they leave the house and worry that they’re never going to come back for me either. It seems that I have separation anxiety and they are being so kind to me and working with me to try to help me get better, but they say it will take time and patience. I’m anxious and afraid in a crate, so my foster parents are trying to teach me to be safe with the crate door open while they are away from the house. They call me their “velcro dog” because I just love them so much-I actually love everyone so much- that it hurts whenever I’m left alone. I even love my foster dog siblings but would prefer a home without any cats. I love the toys that my old family sent with me especially my stuffed guitar that I like to throw into the air and play tug-of-war with. I also love a Kong with peanut butter in it. I love being outside and going on walks would be fun with someone who would teach me how to walk on a leash the right way. And I would LOVE a fenced in, safe yard. I’m only 1-1/2-years old so I have a lot of energy and sometimes I have a lot to say. I’m good in the car, and my foster mom says I’m very smart and very lovable, and that I have a face that’s gonna break a lot of hearts. Everyone really likes my underbite and my little chucky teeth that stick out. I’ve also been told that I have sad human eyes, and that they are also heartbreakers. I know how to sit for a treat, and I can also walk across the kitchen floor on my two hind legs like a human if there’s peanut butter involved. I sleep the best at night in bed with my foster parents as it makes me feel safe and loved. My foster parents think I’m a Springer Spaniel/Shih Tzu mix. My legs and part of my body are white with black spots, I have longer legs just like a Springer Spaniel, and I’m about 30 pounds. My underbite and curly tail mean that one of my birth parents could have been a Shih Tzu. Whatever the combination is, I’m told that I’m very cute and cuddly. I was neutered a couple of weeks ago and am so OVER wearing a cone on my head, and the vet gave me a microchip and all of my vaccines. Please fill out an adoption application so you can meet me? I’m hoping to find my forever family who will love me and understand me with patient hearts and hands, and I will never be abandoned and without love again. I promise I will be worth it and be your special boy. When applying to adopt through ODAAT, please know that we take pride in placing our animals appropriately based on their needs and personality. We want the best family for them and the perfect fit for your family. All applications are ran prior to choosing an adopter..
