•Lancaster, PA• Hi everyone! My name is Haskell. I was found left abandoned, in the middle of the night, at an apartment building. No one came forward for me and so the rescue doesn't really know too much about my background. It's difficult to understand why anyone would want to give up such a handsome boy like me. I'm probably a terrier mix of Westie, Cairn, and/or Yorkie. I'm likely a young pup, probably between 1-3 years old. I have shown my foster family that I am a good boy with lots of lovin's to give! I do have plenty of energy and going for long walks are what I love to do best. I'm full off curiosity so I sniff and walk fast! It would be best for me to have someone who will be 100% sure that I am secured at all times. I'll need a really good tall fence that is undiggable or someone who won't mind taking me out on a leash to go out frequently. I have a high prey drive, so if there are squirrels and chipmunks around, I'm going for 'em and I won't look back! I am working on my house training and currently don't mind when I'm wearing a belly band. I think once the rescue gets me neutered, I'll be better about wanting to mark things. It's a boy thing I guess. I'd love to sleep next to you on the couch, or curl up on your lap, and bedtime is usually welcomed after a busy day. If someone comes knocking on the door, I'll be sure to let you know! If I feel threatened or cornered, please give me my space. I do have some insecurities there but I'm working on that and I do come around after a short time. Older considerate kids would be best for me right now until I get that figured out. I'm currently living with a female dog about the same size as me. We get along well. I don't have any experience with cats, but I imagine, if they run, I'll chase! Those are some things about me that you should know. I'm looking for a place to call home. If you think we might be a good match, get those applications in! I'll warn you ahead of time, the ODAAT team is going to look for my best fit and the best fit for your family too, so please be patient and send in everything they tell ya too! I'm going to be neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. All applications are ran prior to choosing my adopter. This process takes time and they do not adopt out on a "first come first served" basis. I kinda love them for that. Applications are found on the website www.onedogatatime.us When applying to adopt through ODAAT, please know that we take pride in placing our animals appropriately based on their needs and personality. We want the best family for them and the perfect fit for your family. All applications are ran prior to choosing an adopter..
