•State College, PA• Hello! I’m Jennie They tell me I’m probably around 5 years old. I was found lost wondering on top of a mountain in the middle of the night. When the police officer brought me to ODAAT , they said I was in poor shape and very shut down from fear likely caused by my previous living experiences. My ODAAT family believes that I was an Amish Mill mama and as scared as I was at the time, I’m so glad I’m not there anymore! I’ve been with my foster family since the end of January 2021. Here, I’ve learned that I love to lay in the sunshine and I love when it’s time for breakfast and dinner! I’m so much better than before with my bravery but you still have to approach me slowly and take your time with me. My foster mama says that I don’t have a single mean bone in my body. I’m very submissive and still rather nervous. You can pet me though but I’m not sure I’ll be snuggling with you for some time. I’m looking for someone to help me to continue coming out of my shell. It’s better if I’m in a home that doesn’t have a lot of activity. I need a person who is also home most of the time that will let me just nap in the same room. I enjoy being around my foster family. I LOVE to go for walks and if I’m let out often, you won’t have many accidents with me. I would be OK with another dog of similar size that is not bossy and would show me their routine. If someone new comes over, I will bark to alert you. My hearing isn’t great and my eyesight isn’t perfect but I can be a perfect companion to someone who needs me as much as I need them.
