Winnie needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?
Winnie, at just under 1 year of age, has the sweetest personality. She’s always happy and ready for attention. She loves basically any toy that squeaks or makes noise, along with loving treats, car rides, playing, running, and cuddling! Loud noises make her nervous and a bit scared, sometimes new places make her nervous too. Sometimes she can be shy when meeting new people, a little more shy meeting men than women, but if she’s given time to get comfortable she’ll warm up quickly and be happy to get attention from anyone that’ll give it to her. When she gets super excited to see someone she likes she’ll sometimes excited tinkle on the floor, but she has done very well with potty training and accidents have become a rare occurrence! She does need continued training on knowing how to tell people when she needs to go out! At night she’s a cuddle bug and loves to snuggle up in bed and will typically stay in the same spot all night, during the day she does well going in her crate while we’re away. She has been crated successfully for a 4 hours period so far. She enjoys playing with other dogs but also needs some time to warm up to them, she seems to warm up quicker to dogs that are smaller than her but will also get along with dogs her size if their energy level isn’t too crazy. On walks, she typically has her nose to the ground and walks nicely, but sometimes forgets herself and may pull a bit. We feel she’d do well in a home with or without another dog. She definitely needs a family that will give her lots of attention, toys, play time, and love. She still has a lot of the typical lab puppy energy so she’ll need some understanding while she burns that off. She’s a very happy girl that thrives off of the attention she gets and once she picks her person she’ll be glued to their side. If you are interested in giving this girl a forever home please visit our website www.onedogatatime.us and complete the online adoption application.
