My name is Chewy. I’ve had a bit of a rough start at life and was scared of my own shadow but I’m getting much braver at my foster home. I am 8 months old and I’m just a tiny thing at 6 lbs but don’t let my size fool ya! I come with a big personality and a whole lotta love and energy. I’m a chihuahua mix so I’d love to be with a family or person who already knows a little bit about my breed. I get attached to my person and if ok with you, we can be stuck like glue. It takes me some time to warm up to new people that come around. You might even think I’m a bit possessive of you. So take your time when introducing me to new folks. I’m an excellent watchdog. I’m suspicious of all strangers so I will bark and growl to let you know if someone new comes around the house. I am crate trained for when you leave the house for a short time and at night I sleep in my crate but I’d rather be in bed snuggled under the covers next to you. I’m working on potty training and I mostly have it down but sometimes my foster mom forgets to let me out as often as she should and I have an occasional accident. My favorite thing to do is to play fetch, chew my toys, sun bathe, and most of all being by your side. I am living with a dog sibling and now that we know each other better, we are playing well in the house and the yard. I am enjoying quiet walks on a leash and I’m ok with riding in the car.
