Shadows owner passed away and the family reached out to ODAAT for help. He is currently in a foster home and his foster family reports: Shadow is a lapdog, he will happily hop up and get belly rubs as well.  He seems to "talk" by making growly noises, but in most cases we think this is him trying to let you know he wants something. He is iffy with other dogs, he will tolerate them, but when he's on your lap he will growl and attempt to keep them away.  We are working on this behavior and teaching him this is not acceptable, with training this should self resolve.  He is still getting comfortable so we are still learning more about him, but he is very friendly, never met a pat on the head he didn't like.
