Since moving into his new foster home Bart has been coming out of his shell and showing us more and more of his personality. He loving playing with toys, especially ropes and the stuffed reindeer (even though it lost an antler lol). He is VERY well house trained and has never had an accident in the house. He really enjoys walks, still marks posts and signs like a typical boy, and seems to go easier on leash pulling the longer he is walked. He is not a fan of indoor stairs but stomps up the outside stairs without hesitation. He is a vocal boy when he wants something and can be mouthy during play but not in an aggressive nature. His foster mom is working with him on manners and says he responds best to reward. If he shows undesirable behaviors, ignoring him seems to produce the best results followed by playtime and treats when he follows commands. His most favorite thing in the world is lounging on the couch, which is where you would find him most times. Due to his history of being stray he will need to be leashed at all times when outside if adopter does not have a secured fenced in yard. Underground fence systems will not be allowed for Bart. He does not care for the crate but also doesnt need crated as he is a very well behaved dog. Bart could live successfully in a home as an only dog or with other dogs that are calm, extremely active dogs seem to make him a bit nervous, as do chaotic home environments. This extremely handsome would love nothing more than a couch to lay on and some blankets to burry into, some walks during the day, continued obedience, and most importantly, LOVE.
