Linus is a young german shepherd mix who is looking for his forever home. He is the sweetest boy, gaining more and more confidence every day. Linus came to us as a very shy, unsocialized pup from a breeder. Everything he experienced once he came to ODAAT was new to him. He is currently being fostered with 3 other male dogs and is doing great. He loves to play with them, is submissive and respectful of their boundaries. He recently enjoyed his first neighborhood walk and did great on the leash! He stopped a few times along the way to survey the sights and take in the sounds, again all these things are new to him. With some encouragement from his foster mom, he would continue on. He enjoys following his people around the house and will sit down right in front of you for attention, gently paw your arm when he wants pets, and nuzzle his head into you for some love. Like any dog new to a home, we are working on house manners like stealing socks even if theyre on your feet and counter surfing but Linus is very redirectable and knows the word "no." He knows how to sit, is crate and leash trained, getting better in the car with each trip, and house trained. He will be cautious with new people but given a few mins to access them he does well.
