My name is Patches. My furever mommy says that I am the smartest dog she has ever fostered. I am a 3 years old Jack Russel mix. I am looking for my furever f amily. I spent all of my life with one person until he got sick and passed away. I was lost without him. I thought it would be good to hide from everyone and act mean to scare them away. My foster mommy gave me time and treats. I realized that I could trust her and found out that there are good people besides my Daddy. After a while, I found out that I am allowed to play with other doggies and actually like my fur brothers and sisters. I love to roll around in the yard with them. I like to play fetch and LOVE to go for walks. I don't even pull. I know how to sit and take my treats like a gentleman. I do like to talk, but mommy has taught me to use my inside voice. So, I try to remember that when I am asking her for something. I love to swim! I am pretty good with new dogs, but am afraid of kids. It's not that I want to hurt them, but I am scared of them. I would love a home with no children. I must also admit, that I am nervous sometimes when I meet new people. But, once I know that you aren't gonna hurt me, I will be your best friend. Mommy says that I would do great in an agility class or as a therapy dog since I am very smart. I just want someone to love me furever! Are you that person?
