Hi All! Andy here. Just wanted to take this chance to tell you a little bit about my sister, Annie, and me. I was only around one year old when purchased from a breeder in 2014. Annie and I had the same parents, but we came from different litters so she is about a year older. We love being together and have never been apart. I’m not sure what I would do without her and I’m pretty sure she feels the same way about me. In January, ODAAT agreed to take us into rescue. I’m still
not exactly sure what that means, but since “being in rescue” we have sure been living the high life! No more mats pulling at our skin, overgrown nails imbedded in our pads, fleas, or infected teeth! We spend our days outside of the crate – playing, and running, and napping on the nice soft beds and couches, and getting tons of yummy treats. We are having a great time with our foster siblings – both cats and dogs! Our favorite thing is to sit on the top of the couch behind our foster mom’s head so we can smother her in cuddles and kisses. We never knew that life could be like this! Unfortunately, our legs don’t work like other dogs and the vet says that was the result of spending most of our time in cages. But, we don’t let that slow us down! I did test positive for Lyme disease, but have been taking medication that helps me feel much better. When it comes to Annie and me, people say I am the more outgoing one. Annie is a bit more unsure of people at first, but she warms up quickly when she sees that I am comfortable. My foster mom says Annie is sassy because she likes to try and boss everyone around. I just let her think she’s in charge so long as I get to do what I want! We will need some help to learn to go outside to use the bathroom because we were taught to go on potty pads, but we can hold it all night. We would like for our new family to be patient with us as we adjust. We are a low key couple and don’t need much, but a family that will love us.
