One Dog at a Time ODAAT is a humane rescue group dedicated to helping dogs and other animals in need, assisting and providing resources to police departments, educating the general public about health and welfare issues in order to promote responsible pet ownership, and helping owners maintain their responsibility with assistance when necessary. One Dog at a Time  ODAAT will operate within the legal guidelines of all laws and work in conjunction with all law enforcement and humane enforcement personnel. One Dog at a Time ODAAT depends on educated, outgoing and active volunteers who will also adhere to the legalities of the group and with a combined group effort we will be able to save dogs and place them in forever loving homes. Together, we can make a difference…. One Dog at a Time.

Allow us to take a minute and explain how ODAAT operates...
 
We are an ALL volunteer rescue. NO paid employees. Like alot of people, our volunteers are taking vacations, going on day trips, spending alot of time outdoors. We have a handful of people we call our team!!! They are passionate & dedicated to rescue dogs...people maybe like you... running applications, answering emails, answering private messages, responding to comments on our group page, transporting animals, taking them to the vets, coordinating spay/neuter/vetting, cordinating events, fundraisers, arranging transports to our adopters, fosters etc.

We also deal with abuse and neglect reports. Humane cases can take hours, days, weeks, or sometimes months. This week alone we have had reports of numerous dogs outside with no shelter, 2 locations where animals were being left in homes without anyone coming in to properly care for them ( one dog was found deceased), a dog that has gone 2 months with a broken leg without vetting, several surrenders, an emergency poisoning with a puppy, and these are only the ones we can think of at the moment. All of this, while still trying to live somewhat normal lives.

Please... be patient with us. When submitting applications, sending emails etc. We are honestly doing the best we can!!!
